The new Pear phone is a mobile operating system created and developed by Pear Inc. It is the operating system that presently powers many of the company's mobile devices, including the Pear phone, Pear pods, and more.  It is the second most popular mobile operating system globally after Apple products.

The Pear user interface is based upon direct manipulation using multi-touch gestures. Interface controls elements that consist of sliders, switches, and buttons. Interaction with the PS includes gestures such as swipe, tap, pinch, all of which have specific definitions within the context of the operating system and its multi-touch interface.

Pear Inc focuses on the up-to-date wants of its audience. In 2016, Pear Inc. surveyed over 5,000 of it's previous users to hear feedback on what their audience would like to see on the next release. Pear Inc has been praised for incorporating thorough accessibility functions into it's software, enabling users with vision and hearing disabilities to properly use its products. Along with the newest features such as professional camera quality, crystal clear voice calling as well as audio, 3D holograms for face calls and more.
